Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Budget Canvas (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

Description of Service

Budget Canvas is a budget allocation planner based on the 50/30/20 rule. It helps you decide how to distribute your income across Needs, Wants, and Savings. The App is not a financial advisor, bank, or investment service.

Use of the App

You may use the App for lawful, personal budgeting purposes. You agree not to:

Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
Use the App for any illegal or unauthorised purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any systems connected to the App

User Data and Responsibility

You are solely responsible for your passphrase. If you lose your passphrase, your encrypted data cannot be recovered.
All budget data is stored locally on your device. You are responsible for maintaining backups of your data.
If you enable Google Drive backup, you are responsible for the security of your Google account.

Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by the Budget Canvas team and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

Fitness for a particular purpose
Accuracy or reliability of any financial calculations
Uninterrupted or error-free operation

The App is a budgeting tool only. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. You should consult qualified professionals for financial decisions.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Budget Canvas team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue arising from your use of the App.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App at our discretion, without notice.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
